Emergency Power Assessments
Ensure your emergency power systems are TSSA-compliant.
GM BluePlan has the expertise to help appliance owners successfully navigate the road to compliance for a new emergency generator, upgrades to an existing emergency generator system, a new fire pump system, or upgrades to existing fuel, electrical and ventilation systems.
When completing an emergency power assessment, the team at GM BluePlan will work closely with you and the TSSA to ensure you have a worry-free source of emergency power that continues to meet provincial codes for years to come.
If you want to ensure that your appliances continue to operate, our team can assist you with an extension variance to permit the continued delivery of fuel until a systematic inspection, design, and consultation process can deliver a fully-compliant emergency power system.
TSSA Assessments for Natural Gas & Fuel Oil
The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) is a provincial organization that promotes and enforces public safety in Ontario, across a wide range of industries. Although TSSA assessments can be provided for a number of different sectors, GM BluePlan specializes in providing assessments for emergency power systems, specifically natural gas and fuel oil installations.
Most emergency power installations will require professional testing to confirm proper sizing, materials selection, and compliance with the relevant CSA codes, as adopted by the TSSA in Ontario.
For example, many installations will require a variance application for a non-compliant existing component. Others may require additional testing under full load conditions for exhaust temperature and inlet air velocity. Our team can help you navigate these common challenges and keep your appliances functioning properly throughout the process.
